Root + Bud is the product of a friendship that started long before the business ever did. We’ve been inseparable for years — the kind of duo who moves around each other effortlessly, finishes each other’s ideas, and somehow always ends up laughing our way through every wedding day.
We started photographing weddings together over 10 years ago, and something clicked immediately. Couples tell us — constantly — that they’ve never felt more comfortable, more themselves, or more at ease in front of a camera.
That’s what happens when you get a team with chemistry… and a lot of history.

Sarah
Sarah is the quiet one — laid back, gentle, creative, and observant. A mama of four, she’s the calm presence in the whirlwind of a wedding day. She gravitates toward details and moments: the hands, the glances, the emotional stuff people don’t even realize she’s catching.
Sarah is the Root — grounding things, keeping the flow steady, and bringing that soft magic that makes our images feel like memories.
ELISE
Elise is the brave, silly, outgoing spark of the team — a mama of three who brings the fun wherever she goes. She’s the one hyping you up, cracking jokes, organizing the group shots, and getting everyone relaxed in seconds.
Elise is the Bud — vibrant, warm, welcoming, and full of life. She’s the one who makes everyone feel like they’ve known us forever.
